Unleashed, Schwedenstahl und die Zukunft des Deathcore: Wenn der Sommer ruft, dann zieht es den Metalhead nicht nur auf die Festivals, sondern auch zum neusten Lesestoff: Die Legacy-Ausgabe #157 liefert reichlich von selbigem – allen voran mit einer sieben Seiten starken Unleashed-Titelstory! Alle Bandmitglieder standen Rede und Antwort und geben umfassende Einblicke in die neuen Abenteuer der Midgard Warriors. Als besonderes Highlight liegt der Ausgabe eine exklusive Unleashed-Compilation-CD bei – inklusive eines unveröffentlichten Songs, den bislang so wirklich noch niemand gehört hat. Neben Unleashed kommen auch weitere Szenegrößen und -neulinge wie Grave, Dismember, Hexenhaus, Cryptorium und Death Reich zu Wort, sodass das große Schwedenstahl-Special keine Wünsche offenlässt. Der Soundcheck-Sieg geht ebenfalls in den hohen Norden: Lord Belial sichern sich mit „Unholy Trinity“ den Spitzenplatz und zeigen, dass schwedischer Black Metal auch heute noch kraftvoll und relevant ist.

Ein weiteres Highlight stellt die große Slaughter-To-Prevail-Story dar. Auf vier Seiten widmet sich das Legacy dem neuen Album „Grizzly“, das mit seiner Wucht und Innovation ein ganzes Genre neu definieren wird. Die Band gewährt tiefe Einblicke in Entstehung und Konzept eines Albums, das bereits jetzt als Meilenstein gehandelt wird.

Jubiläum gibt es bei Eisregen zu feiern: Seit 30 Jahren beschreiten die Thüringer ihren ganz eigenen Pfad im deutschen Extrem-Metal – geliebt, gehasst, aber immer unverwechselbar. Neben prominenten Stimmen und Wegbegleitern kommen natürlich auch die Bandmitglieder selbst zu Wort. Eine echte Premiere: Im umgedrehten Interview stellen Eisregen ausnahmsweise einmal selbst die Fragen – und zeigen dabei, dass sie auch in dieser Rolle eine gute Figur machen.

Für nostalgische Momente sorgt unser Rückblick auf die frühen Jahre von Motörhead: Die bisher unveröffentlichten „The Manticore Tapes“ nehmen uns mit zu den Anfängen der Kulttruppe. Unser Rock- und Metal-History-Experte Christian Wachter hat sich der Geschichte dieser verschollenen Aufnahmen angenommen und zeichnet ein ebenso spannendes wie wehmütiges Bild der frühen Jahre von Lemmy & Co.

Zurück ins Hier und Jetzt: Mono Inc. beweisen mit ihrem 13. Album und einer ausgiebigen Tour erneut, dass DIY auch auf höchstem Niveau funktioniert. Die Scheibe „Darkness“ wird jeden Fan mehr als nur glücklich machen!

Unleashed, Swedish Steel and the future of Deathcore: When summer calls, it’s not just the festivals that lure metalheads — it’s also time for fresh reading material. Legacy #157 delivers plenty to sink your teeth into, starting with a massive seven-page Unleashed cover story! Every band member sat down with us to provide in-depth insights into the latest adventures of the Midgard Warriors.
